MCA Programme has been introduced as a Regular evening course by the Directorate of Distance & Continuing Education since the academic Session 1999-2000 

The objective of the course is to provide skill development and knowledge upgradation for freshers as well as those who are in employment either in IT Sector or other organisations. To facilitate and promote cross migration of school and college teachers of allied faculties like Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Commerce, Management etc. to the field of Computer Applications .

The program operates under the direct supervision of the Director, DDCE. Dr. N. Pani, Reader, Public Administration, DDCE acts as the Asst. Course Coordinator. The faculty are drawn from the P.G. departments of the Utkal University and other Universities and Colleges of Bhubaneswar.

Career, Written Test and Personal Interview. The written test shall consist of 100 single answer multiple choice question of one hour duration. Questions shall relate to Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, Comprehension and General Awareness. Only limited applicants shall be called for personal interview based on their performance in written test and academic career.

The programme is under the continuing mode. Both Theory and Practical classes shall be conducted from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M.

The Syllabus prescribed for the P. G. Department of Computer Science & Application, Utkal University shall be followed.

The course is offered under continuing mode. Attending classes regularly is compulsory. One has to attend at least 75% classes to be eligible to appear at the Semester examinations. Waiver of shortage of attendance may be allowed maximum upto 15% on medical grounds.

The Semester system of examinations is conducted by the University. The course structure is subject to revision from time to time.

No separate intimation for admission would be issued. Students may visit our website www.ddceutkal.org for the result and report accordingly for admission / spot admission of wait listed candidates. The students should report with all original certificates and passport size photograph. In case it is not possible for the candidate to report in person all documents may be sent through an authorized person.
